Dr Maza - Return of the Jedi Warrior

I received this from someone. Thank you. This is a letter written by the Mufti of Perlis Dr Mohd Asri Zainal Abidin or Dr Maza.  

Dr Maza is not liked by the established orthodoxy among the religious people. That is putting it mildly. The orthodoxy hates him. After his first term as the Mufti of Perlis he was even arrested (or charged in the Syariah Court) in Selangor for preaching without a tauliyah. I dont know what became of that case. 

But Dr Maza has been reappointed as the Mufti of Perlis.

Here he is objecting strongly to the presence of one ostat fellow in some religious program.

You can read for yourself where Dr Maza says, "Jabatan ini tidak setuju dengan pemilihan panel Datuk Kazim Elyas kerana beliau sering terlibat dengan pembacaan riwayat-riwayat palsu".

Walau ehh !! This is the second time in as many days I am hearing about this riwayat palsu.

Jakim is also preparing a list of hadis palsu.
