Memorandum submitted to the Home Ministry as well.
KUALA LUMPUR: In the wake of several recent shooting cases, the Malaysian Makkal Sakti Party (MMSP) has handed over a memorandum to the police to ensure public safety.
MMSP president R S Thanenthiran said four shooting incidents in a day in Sungai Petani, Georgetown, Johor Baharu and Kajang had sent shock waves to the law-abiding public.
“What is even more disturbing is that all four shooting cases occurred in public places. As such, the matter cannot be allowed to continue as they will influence the overall public order,” he said.
He was speaking to reporters after handing over the memorandum to a police representative this evening at the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman here.
Earlier, the party also submitted a memorandum to the home ministry’s special assistant, DSP Kamarul Bahrin Jamaluddin in Putrajaya near here.
