CYBERJAYA: The body of a Nigerian student, believed to have been beaten to death, was found at the entrance of the Cyber Heights Villa project site here today.
Nwole David Namdi, 37, had sustained bruises and scratches on the face.
Sepang CID chief, ASP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said several copies of the victim’s passport, immigration and student cards were found scattered within a 200 metre-radius.
He said passers-by who stumbled upon the body at about 7.40am, alerted the authorities.
“Initial investigations revealed the victim might have succumbed to the injuries about six hours before the body was found.
“We believe he had been beaten with a blunt object or punched repeatedly,” said Mohd Iqbal when contacted today.
The body was sent to the Serdang Hospital.
