Rahman hails Najib as hero of change for Sabah

Kota Belud MP says state gets lots of projects, Musa Aman says Sabah will back BN
Abdul-Rahman-Dahlan_najib_sabah_600KOTA BELUD: Federal housing minister Abdul Rahman Dahlan has described Najib Razak as the one and only prime minister who has brought changes to Sabah.
He said the prime minister was clearly aware of and concerned about the needs and hopes of the people in Sabah each time he visited the state.
“Why we (people in Sabah) get a lot of projects is because the prime minister likes to hear the voice and feel the pulse of the people, especially in Sabah. He comes to Sabah, goes to the rural areas to understand the needs and hopes of the people there. Not just to see, but he brings with him changes and development,” he said today at the launch of a People’s Housing Project here.
Abdul Rahman said the sustainable development carried out by Najib’s administration was not just through public housing programmes, which were close to his heart, but also other areas including increasing the economic resources of the state and incomes of the people.
He gave as examples the Sabah Urea Ammonia project in Sipitang, Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal in Kimanis, the Bintulu Liquefied Natural Gas project and the Pan Borneo Highway.
Abdul Rahman, who MP for Kota Belud, said that Najib dared to make decisions on existing problems faced by the people of the state even though these problems had long been brought up to past leaders.
“When other leaders are no longer the leaders, we were left with the problem of illegal immigrants,” he said. Najid also had to face this issue and created the Royal Commission of Inquiry into illegal immigrants in Sabah.
Abdul Rahman also commended Najib’s initiative in achieving peace in South Philippines so that Sabahans were not burdened with the migration of foreigners from the Philippines, and praised Najib’s action to set up the Eastern Sabah Security Command to defend the state.
Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman said the concern and commitment of the federal government under Najib’s leadership were obvious when he gave his commitment to always put the needs and wishes of the people as priority.
Musa, who is also state finance minister, said this included more allocation for Sabah to ensure the state could provide infrastructural amenities for the benefit and comfort of the people.
“The prime minister has given a lot to Sabah. His kindness, concerned and commitment to bring much development to Sabah will be repaid with full commitment to his leadership. Sabah will support BN,” he said.
