Kepong Umno division today slammed its deputy president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, for being "disloyal" after criticising party president Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Division chief Datuk Ridhuan Abdul Hamid also hit out at Muhyiddin's "unreasonable" action of going around the country slamming Najib over the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) controversy and RM2.6 billion funds in Najib's bank accounts.
"Muhyiddin is a sacked deputy prime minister. Bad enough he is sacked, he is often unreasonable.
"The more you sack them, the fiercer they are, going all over, to divisions, and questioning the RM2.6 billion issue," he said in opening the division meeting at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur today.
He asked why was Muhyiddin still raising the 1MDB and RM2.6 billion issues when he had pledged support for Najib.
"They have promised to defend Najib, but why are they still criticising and bringing up the 1MDB and RM2.6 billion funds again?
"The person is religious, his father is someone highly respected. But the son, only the deputy prime minister for two years and two months, is no longer loyal to the prime minister."
Ridhuan said the division was steadfast in fighting the party's enemies and was willing to die with Najib.
"We will always fight our enemies. We will die with Najib if required to. That's the pledge.
"To die in politics is better to die needlessly," he said and later recited a loyalty oath to support Najib as party president.
