The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has no plans to block access to any websites or social media platforms during the Bersih 4 rally this weekend, Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak said today.
"As far as SKMM (MCMC) is concerned, they will look at all these blogs or websites which publish these kind of things.
"We just monitor the whole thing," he told reporters after launching iMalaysia App and Game in Bangsar today.
He was asked to comment on whether his ministry would block access to the Internet and social media sites during the 34-hour rally scheduled for August 29 and 30.
Salleh also denied that Putrajaya would attempt to jam communication signals during the rally, saying that such issues did not arise.
