HYPOCRITE LAMBASTS LAME DUCK: Umno Youth blames MCA for 'Chinese-led' Bersih 4

KUALA LUMPUR - MCA must reassess the tolerance between races before demanding that all rallies be stopped in the future.

Federal Territory Umno Youth head Mohd Razlan Muhammad Rafii said this tolerance cannot be strengthened if MCA just allowed DAP to play up issues related to the interest of different races, matters of which were agreed upon during the formation of Tanah Melayu and later on Malaysia through the Rukun Negara.

“We have long agreed on not to have or allow rallies. MCA should have detected this trend earlier and been more proactive in embedding tolerance in the Chinese who have clearly been incited by DAP.

“The Bersih 4 rally that was dominated by the Chinese was planned way before hand and was spread through social media especially in Chinese,” he said in a press statement.

Yesterday, MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai called for a stop to future rallies following the recent threats hurled during and after the Sept 16 “Rakyat Bersatu” assembly and said he would meet Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on the matter.

Razlan said the school system in the country gave too much focus on the importance of race with the existence of Chinese kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, Taiwan University and even TAR college which have 90% Chinese students.

“This is why DAP finds it so easy to spread the feeling that the Chinese have been sidelined and why they call for a Malaysian Malaysia.

“They also question the special rights of Malays and Bumiputeras and question the inequality between the races.”

Razlan said this is why one school stream should be in place, a Sekolah Kebangsaan where all students can mix in one type of high school education system for 6 years.

He said the Malays and Bumiputeras only ask for for the rest to respect the boundaries that have been agreed upon since the formation of Malaysia.

“Respect Bahasa Malaysia, respect the boundaries of Islam , respect the national education system, the national economic policy and do not challenge the democracy that we have always practiced. - Therakyatpost
