KUALA LUMPUR - DAP’s Seputeh MP Teresa Kok said despite Pakatan Harapan being set up with three parties — DAP, PKR and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) — it will welcome Barisan Nasional component parties that agreed to its policies.
She said should these other parties, at some point in the future, subscribe to PH policies and principles, the opposition coalition would welcome them.
“If these parties can agree to the coalition decision-making framework, then we will welcome them.”
This was also the point made by PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail during the launch of Pakatan Harapan, she told The Rakyat Post.
However, Kok did not feel MCA and Gerakan will take up the offer.
“Both MCA and Gerakan have been tasked with taking Pakatan Rakyat to task and now the same with Pakatan Harapan.
“They are the parasites of Umno and they can’t survive without Umno or BN.
“Their political principles are so different from the three parties. How do you expect them to join Pakatan Harapan ?”

DAP Serdang Member of Parliament Ong Kian Ming said parties with similar objectives were welcome to join the new opposition coalition.
“All parties which reject racism, which want to get rid of corruption in the country, which want to save the future of our country from the path we are currently on should be welcomed to join the new opposition coalition.
“This will include all the non-Umno parties in Barisan Nasional.”
PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli said on Tuesday that BN component parties like MCA, Gerakan and other Sabah- and Sarawak-based parties, were welcome to join the new opposition coalition if they rejected race-based politics.
He said the coalition did not have a problem accepting any parties that agreed with its common policy framework. - http://www.therakyatpost.com/
