The banning of PKR vice-presidents Nurul Izzah Anwar and Tian Chua from entering Sabah should be a lesson for the people not to conspire with those who intrude into the country's sovereignty.
Sabah Youth and Sports Minister Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan said the ban was to bring awareness to any individual or party that did not respect the sensitivities of the people of this country.
"Their meeting with the former terrorist chief, who claimed to be the Sulu Sultanate and for intruding into Sabah cannot simply be forgiven by the Sabah people as it showed they do not consider the country's sovereignty," he told reporters in Tawau after officiating the closing of an 1azam course here today.
Tawfiq, who is also Apas assemblyperson, was commenting on a motion passed by the state assembly yesterday to bar Nurul Izzah and Tian Chua from entering the state.
