The Christian Federation of Malaysia has expressed deep concern over the abduction of Pastor Raymond Koh last Monday.
"We understand that Koh works with the communities and all people who are in need.
"The work of people of faith in such communities must be free from threats of violence and intimidation," said CFM chairperson Rev Eu Hong Seng in a statement today.
Eu said that the CFM was praying for the success of the police in locating Koh and for the abductors to release the pastor unharmed.
He also urged all churches to pray for Koh's prompt release and be returned to his family.
Koh was abducted in Petaling Jaya after being forced off the road by several SUVs.
Witnesses claim that the men who abducted him were all wearing black ski masks.
According to The Star, the abductors had yet to reach out of Koh's family.
No motive has been established thus far.
Koh is best known for his work with a group known as Harapan Komuniti. The group was investigated in 2011 for organising an event participated by Muslims and non-Muslims.- Mkini
