PKR parliamentarian Rafizi Ramli has explained what he believes may be the reason why most Malaysians are reluctant to vote for the opposition.
One reason, he said, would be a question of credibility. Therefore, it is important for the opposition to move away from being seen as opportunistic, he said.
“Why do we lack credibility? We have been out of touch, to the point of being condescending,” said Rafizi during his presentation at the Save Malaysia roundtable discussion held in Bandar Utama today.
He said there was no question among the people that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was "bad", and even Umno members and leaders, he further claimed, would attest to this.
“We just have to convince the people enough that we can do a better job. We must honestly accept failings and offer solutions that may be controversial,” he said.
