PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli said will lawyers will serve a letter of demand against blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin over an allegedly defamatory article written by the latter.
Rafizi said that although public records showed that Raja Petra was a bankrupt since 2001, legal action was necessary to uphold the truth.
"If I succeed (in my suit), I will not be able to claim anything. In fact, I will still have to pay legal fees.
"What is I seek is not money. I just want the truth," said Rafizi in a statement today.
The article in question was published on April 7 on Raja Petra's Malaysia Today blog, in which he alleged that businessman John Soh Chee Wen had given RM20 million to Rafizi and PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution.
Rafizi said that this allegation was untrue, byt that several PAS leaders have been parroting Raja Petra's claim of late in response to his statutory declaration on SRC Interational Sdn Bhd's funds being channeled to former PAS deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa.
He said Malaysians must not let Raja Petra get away with making such claims.- Mkini
