PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli will reveal the identity of the former PAS leader, whom he claimed had received 1MDB funds, tomorrow.
“I will name the former PAS leader who received 1MDB funds via Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s private account, which was investigated, at a press conference at 1pm,” he said in a statement.
He would also lodge a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) with the information supporting his allegation on Friday.
“I leave it all to Allah and the Malaysian people to judge because my intentions are clear: so the rakyat has all information on the intentions and position of all parties on national corruption like 1MDB and to make a fair judgement at the ballot box,” he added.
Najib has denied abusing public funds for personal gain, and attorney-general Mohamed Apandil Ali has cleared him of any wrongdoing.
The RM2.6 billion in the prime minister’s personal accounts were said to be a donation from the Saudi royalty, which was confirmed by Apandi.
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has also denied Rafizi’s allegation, describing it as a “300 percent lie”.
