Mahathir should challenge Zahid to release the recording into the public domain so that Malaysians can see whether it was Mahathir who spoke for half-an-hour about his frustration in not being able to oust Najib and inviting Zahid to join their gang of conspirators or whether it was Zahid who told Mahathir he wants to oust Najib so that he can take over as Prime Minister. And this is the same Mahathir who Malaysians used to hate but who is now the most loved leader of DAP and Pakatan Harapan.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was so pissed with Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi that he revealed details about a meeting they had some time in August 2015. That was soon after Zahid replaced Muhyiddin Yassin as the Deputy Prime Minister.

Soon after Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak appointed Zahid the new Deputy Prime Minister, he made his rounds to pay courtesy calls on all the ex-Umno leaders such as Tun Musa Hitam and Mahathir as well as the Rulers, Their Royal Highnesses the Sultans of Johor and Selangor amongst them.

This is the correct Malay thing to do and, being Malay, Zahid wanted to observe proper Malay traditions and customs by making courtesy calls on all those he considers senior to him. This is a Malay adat that those not born into Malaya culture would not understand, in particular that paying homage and making courtesy calls on elders is the essence of Malay culture and is the very purpose of Hari Raya.

Of course, the younger generation Malays and the non-Malays would not understand this judging by the nasty language they post on the social media. Malays consider this biadap and the conduct of these people as kurang ajarwho were raised in families of a lower class.

Zahid is loyal to Najib and this upsets Mahathir tremendously

Anyway, Mahathir was just one of many elders who Zahid visited as a mark of respect, which took place at his house near the Palace of Golden Horses. However, unknown to Mahathir, the entire half-hour meeting was recorded because, when dealing with that old man, make sure you have everything documented.

Mahathir is one person who will say something and then tell everyone that you said it. And when backed into a corner he will say he forgot what happened or what was said. Mahathir can talk for two hours in detail about an event that happened in 1945 and then tell you he forgot about what happened last week. Mahathir suffers from a disease called SMD or selective memory syndrome.

Why would Zahid want to oust Najib and help make Mukhriz the new Deputy Prime Minister to a DAP-proxy Prime Minister?

For the entire half hour Mahathir bitched and grumbled that he wasted three years trying to bring down Najib but failed. Mahathir then tried to feel Zahid out to see whether he would be prepared to join the ANC (Anti-Najib Campaign) and help oust Najib.

Realising that this discussion was beginning to venture into dangerous territory, Zahid looked at his watch and commented how late it was getting and that it was time to take his leave. Zahid then informed the Prime Minister about the dialogue. In fact, Zahid had already informed Najib he was meeting Mahathir even before he went for the meeting.

Even if the meeting was not recorded Zahid would not have responded to Mahathir’s ‘invitation’ to join the ANC and help oust Najib. Zahid knows that Mahathir does not want him as Deputy Prime Minister because he had mentioned this to his inner circle. Hence if Najib is successfully ousted Zahid will also be ousted at the same time and Mukhriz would replace him as the new Deputy Prime Minister.

So why would Zahid want to help Mahathir oust Najib when that would mean Mukhriz would replace him as the Deputy Prime Minister? Zahid would be committing political suicide by helping Mahathir kill Najib when that would mean his death as well. Mahathir has already made it very clear he does not want Zahid as the Deputy Prime Minister let alone as the new Prime Minister.

Do they not say democracy should not be entrusted to idiots because asking idiots to choose their leaders is like giving a flower to a beruk? And the Pakatuns and Dapsters have proven this theory beyond any shadow of doubt. Democracy is wasted on brainless people like the Pakatuns and Dapsters.
