PAS swarms Kelantan Amanah HQ in bid to mark territory

The bid to evacuate Amanah from its Kelantan headquarters got heated tonight, when some 150 PAS supporters swarmed the premises at about 9PM.
Led by Kelantan PAS Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari, the group sought to mark their territory by planting PAS flag around the Wisma Tok Guru building in Salor, Kota Bharu.
Ahmad Fadhli said this was meant to mark PAS' ownership of the building, and the land its on.
"PAS has given a one month notice to the occupants of this building to vacate it latest by Nov 14.
"Even though (the land and building) is ours, to avoid dragging this out we have decided not to enter the building.
"We will only be planting our flags outside as a sign of gratitude to our supporters who contributed to ensure that this building once again belongs to PAS," he said in a speech during the rally.
As soon as Ahmad Fadhli was done with his speech, Kelantan Amanah Youth chief Hazmi Hassan sought permission to use a megaphone to ask the PAS crowd to disperse.
Hazmi's request was rejected, leading to a tense stand-off.
Police, however, intervened and asked for both sides to remain calm and disperse.

Before they left the scene, the PAS crowd planted over 10 flags at the gate of Wisma Tok Guru.
They were then joined by PAS youth chief Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi who recited a prayer before.
The PAS crowd left at about 10.15pm.
Wisma Tok Guru was named after the late-Nik Aziz Nik Mat, and serves as both Kelantan Amanah's HQ, and the office of Salor assemblyperson Husam Musa.
The land on which the building sits had come under the spotlight after Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, PAS' Meranti state assemblyperson, claimed it belonged to the PAS-led Kelantan government.

However, Ahmad Rosli Ibrahim, a maverick Kelantan Umno leader with friendly ties to Husam, later revealed he had purchased the land in his wife's name Haripah Dollah.
Ahmad Rosli, who is also the former Salor state assemblyperson, said he had granted permission for the land to be used as the Salor state assemblyperson's office as a favour to Husam and not PAS.
However, Ahmad Rosli passed away in July, leaving the fate of Wisma Tok Guru in limbo.
Husam has said that he will challenge the eviction notice in court.- Mkini
