Tell DAP to drop 'Malaysian Malaysia' agenda, Jasa chief tells Dr M

Dr Mahathir Mohamad's commitment to protecting the Malays over his partnership with the DAP has been called into question once again by government machinery.
The Special Affairs Department (Jasa) today, in particular, zoomed in on DAP's "Malaysian Malaysia" agenda.
"Isn't the aim of that policy to turn Malaysia into a republic that rejects constitutional monarchy. What will happen to the Malay special rights enshrined in the constitution because DAP fights for equality, not equitability as agreed to in the social contract.
"Mahathir should urge DAP to openly drop its Malaysian Malaysia struggle," Jasa chief Puad Zarkashi said in a statement.
He was responding to Mahathir's blog post on Thursday where he denied betraying the Malays by working with DAP.
On Tuesday, Umno Online posted a commentary piece by Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) lecturer Kamarul Zaman Yusoff claiming Mahathir's presence at DAP's headquarters on Monday signalled the former premier's official surrender to the party's Malaysian Malaysia agenda.
Mahathir and DAP have long been at odds, but the former premier said they are now united in fighting against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Puad, however, rubbished this notion.
He claimed that DAP was only interested in a Malaysian Malaysia, and further alleged that Mahathir had a personal agenda to install his son Mukhriz as prime minister.
"Toppling Najib and BN will only bring short-term benefits. If they win, their own agendas will surface. That is when they will fight among themselves," he said.
He also chided the former premier for promoting DAP as a multiracial party.
"Did Mahathir only just realise this? Wasn't this the case when he was prime minister when he still called DAP racist?" the Umno supreme council member said.- Mkini
