PETALING JAYA: It’s fake, don’t believe everything you see on social media.
These oft-repeated remarks were repeated by the National Registration Department (NRD) when it denied issuing an identity card registration form where applicants must vow to vote for Barisan Nasional.
In a Facebook posting, it carried a copy of the form with the word “PALSU” (Fake) across it.
It said: “Note that the document below is fake and the document was not issued by the National Registration Department (JPN).”
The form requires the person to promise to vote for BN, failing which it allow his identity card to be “cancelled”.
Unlike genuine identity cards, the form does not request for the applicant’s home address. -FMT
