Azmin’s nephew nabbed in graft probe, RM4 million frozen

The arrest is part of a probe into illegal sand-mining activities in Selangor.
sprm-reman-adik-azmin-1PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested a nephew of Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali and two others in the ongoing probe into illegal mining in the state.
A source told FMT that the 34-year-old who is believed to be a manager of a company in Ampang, and was arrested at his home yesterday.
He will be brought to Putrajaya this morning for remand.
It is learnt that some RM4 million in bank accounts of a mining company was also frozen.
The investigation revolves around allegations that the company had bribed local authorities not to take action against its illegal sand-mining activities.
