Nik Aziz's son can leave PAS if he has lost faith - Takiyuddin

GE14 | Those who have lost their faith in PAS can find another party, says party secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan.
He was responding to Nik Omar Nik Aziz, the son of late former PAS spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, who had recently expressed scepticism about PAS' chances of winning the upcoming 14th general election.
"If they don't have faith in PAS, they can find another party.
"But I have not heard Nik Omar saying something that is against or conflicts with the party constitution. All those who are still PAS members must obey the PAS constitution.
"One of it is not to make statements or actions which conflict with PAS' interests, and can hurt the image, pride, or faith in PAS," Takiyuddin said during a press conference at the PAS headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.
Yesterday, Nik Omar noted that while he is a member and supporter of PAS, there is a need for alliances in politics.
"PAS is strong, but the coalition is not, that is what I stress and Pakatan Harapan has a strong coalition with each of the four parties having its own strengths," he was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.
A separate report by Berita Harian quoted Nik Omar as saying that there is potential that Harapan could take over the Kelantan state government.
He was previously touted as a potential candidate for PAS-splinter group Amanah in the Chempaka state seat in Kelantan, which would have pitted him against his brother Nik Abduh.
However, this plan was nixed after their mother, Tuan Sabariah Tuan Ishak, refused to give her blessing for Nik Omar to join politics. - Mkini
