Harapan ready to work with PAS to rebuild Terengganu

Terengganu Pakatan Harapan is ready to work with the PAS-ruled state government to rebuild the state.

Its chairperson Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad said he had also paid a courtesy call on Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar to focus on common ground for the benefit of the people in the state.

"At the moment, I think all quarters need to set aside political issues and focus on the welfare of the people. We do not want the people to get fed up when they see leaders fighting each other.

"Yesterday, I had a discussion with him to focus on the completion of ‘sick projects’ inherited from the BN government, such as Taman Ilmu, a duty-free island in Tasik Kenyir and Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Kuala Nerus.

"Terengganu Harapan is also ready to be the intermediary between the state government and the federal government if needed in all issues involving the interests of the people, including the oil royalty," Raja Kamarul Bahrin told reporters in Kuala Terengganu today.

Of the 32 state seats contested in Terengganu in the recent general election, PAS won 22 and BN 10.
