Losing power has not taught Umno anything

The totally unacceptable tweet by former Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Razlan Rafii on the untimely demise of assemblyperson Eddie Ng deserves more than a disapproving statement from Umno leaders and followers.
His tweet is not only disrespectful and un-Malaysian, but it certainly also echoes loudly how cruelly corrosive, deliberately insensitive and ever divisive Umno politicians can be, as they keep showing time and time again.
Losing a sixty-year tradition of governing has not taught Umno anything.
The rule of law catching up on street fighters who believe they are infallible warriors of Umno, like Sg Besar party chief Jamal Md Yunos, for example is not an effective as a deterrent.
It is time that civil society put an abrupt end to such inhumane, crass, hate-mongering politicians who think they can erase their evil agendas by deleting tweets and saying sorry.
Politicians and leaders must know that the duty to lead by good example in thoughts, words and deeds is a categorical imperative. If they do not understand the power of this dictum, they should go study Kantism.
What is worse is that the party that such renegades champion is slow, seemingly powerless and expressly unwilling to take decisive stern action.
The new Umno president's statement – made only after Khairy Jamaluddin forced him into a corner – clearly shows that Umno will neither change its stripes nor has learnt anything about the people's aspirations, and the rulers' wish to see a New Malaysia rise from the forest of six decades of race and religious spiked divisiveness.
We need to see an immediate political overhaul, even it means censuring such politicians who cannot build a future for all Malaysians.
All media can help right minded citizens to bring about that immediate overhaul. - Mkini
