SEPANG: The body of Siti Nur Iesmawida Ismail, the Malaysian who died during an earthquake in Lombok, Indonesia, has safely arrived on home soil.
The 30-year-old woman from Melaka is to be buried Tuesday (July 31) after evening prayers (Magrib) in Gombak near here.
Her husband, Mohd Hafiz Mohd Kassim, flew back to Malaysia from Indonesia with her remains.
He did not speak to waiting pressmen on arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport here.
.Mohd Hafiz, who was greeted by other family members, then got into a waiting vehicle.
Prayers for Siti will be held at the Al-Rahimah mosque in Kampung Pandan.
On Sunday, a 6.4-magnitude earthquake hit Lombok, Indonesia, killing at least 16 victims.
Siti had gone to Lombok for a hiking trip.- Star
