A businessperson seeking government contracts has purportedly been identified by the police as the main person responsible for the drug-fuelled party that eventually saw the arrest of 17 individuals, including Dengkil assemblyperson Adhif Syan Abdullah (above).
Police sources said the businessperson provided women and drugs and organised gambling sessions for his guests, according to a report by The Malaysian Insight (TMI) today.
“He (the businessperson) wanted to give them a good time, in the hope that he and his friends will receive lucrative government contracts,” TMI quoted a source as saying.
On Jan 12, a condominium party in Puchong was raided by the police, resulting in the arrest of the 17 individuals.
Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador later confirmed that 16 of them tested positive for drug use.
Police also found powder, suspected to be drugs, at the condominium, as well as playing cards and chips used for gambling.
After their statements were taken, 16 of them were released pending a second drug test, except for a foreign woman who is still being detained.
Police investigations have purportedly shown that similar parties have been held in the past, but in different locations.
The raid was also supposedly initiated on the condominium after a noise complaint.
Adhif, who is also Selangor Bersatu Youth chief, later said he was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time. - Mkini

ReplyDeleteThe Adun should throw in the towel. MACC Miss Koyak should investigate and haul that businessman for attempted bribery. Drug, Money, Sex, Power and now SM are addictive and disruptive to many. Will and can never get enough.
