SHAH ALAM: Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari is expected to have an audience with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah today, his political secretary, Borhan Aman Shah, said.
However, Borhan declined to comment on the issues to be discussed during the audience.
“The menteri besar will have an audience with His Royal Highness,” he said briefly when contacted by Bernama.
A source from Istana Selangor, however, told the national news agency the audience was not in Sultan Sharafuddin’s schedule for today.
Asked where Amirudin was, Borhan replied: “I don’t know”.
He said the state government’s administration was still under Pakatan Harapan (PH), adding that it had made it clear it did not want to get involved in the “turmoil”.
He also said Amirudin, who is the Selangor PKR chairman, met with state DAP chairman Gobind Singh Deo and Amanah chairman Izham Hashim this morning.
“All of them have agreed to remain in the PH coalition,” he said.
Selangor has 56 state seats with PKR holding 21, DAP 16, Amanah eight, PPBM five. Barisan Nasional five and PAS one. - FMT
