IPOH: One hundred and forty-three students and five teachers from a tahfiz school have been placed in a quarantine centre at the health ministry’s Sultan Azlan Shah Training Institute in Tanjung Rambutan here since Monday.
The state health department said they had been in close contact with a positive Covid-19 case from the tabligh cluster.
“They are undergoing 14 days’ quarantine and are in good health and have not tested positive for Covid-19,” the department said in its official Facebook page.
Reports and pictures of the students believed to be from a tahfiz school in Perak Tengah district taken to hospital had gone viral on social media.
The department also said “drive thru” pharmaceutical services were available at the Hospital Bahagia in Ulu Kinta, Batu Gajah Hospital, Changkat Melintang Hospital, Gerik Hospital, Kuala Kangsar Hospital, Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) and the Women, Children and Cardiology Complex next to HRPB.
The services are also available at Selama Hospital, Seri Manjung Hospital, Slim River Hospital, Sungai Siput Hospital, Taiping Hospital, Teluk Intan Hospital, Bagan Serai Health Clinic (KK), Greentown Ipoh KK, Taiping KK and Tanjung Tualang KK.
“The services will help patients to obtain their medication easier and quicker while practising safe social distancing,” the department said.
Patients may also obtain their medication through post (UMP), the Integrated Medication Dispensary System (SPUB), Pharmacy Appointment System and Locker4u, it said. - FMT
