COVID-19 | SJK(C) Subang has confirmed that one of its students had tested positive for Covid-19.
China Press quoted the school's chairperson as confirming that a standard two student had tested positive.
The student had reportedly gone to East Malaysia before returning earlier this month.
The person is currently being treated at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
The school is reportedly waiting for instructions from the Education Department on whether it should stay open or close.
It has also applied for special leave on Tuesday so that the school would only reopen on Wednesday.
In the meantime, the school will be disinfected, and a list of close contacts has been given to the Health Ministry.
A voice message sent to parents reportedly urged parents to keep their children home during the extended Merdeka weekend. - Mkini
