KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government has allowed all places of worship to reopen beginning on Friday.
State local government and housing minister Masidi Manjun said daily prayers and other religious activities at all mosques and surau can resume with a limit of 15 people, and 45 people for Friday prayers.
Religious activities at other places of worship can resume with one-third the capacity or not more than 45 people at any one time, Masidi said.
He said the Covid-19 situation is stabilising in the state with 132 cases reported in the past 24 hours, he said.
The previous three days saw 160 cases recorded on Feb 7, 169 cases on Feb 8 and 180 cases yesterday.
Masidi said the cumulative cases in Sabah now stands at 50,855 cases, with 1,424 people still being treated at hospitals, low-risk treatment centres and temporary detention centres or prison. - FMT
