Only 14 of the 676 new cases reported in Sarawak today involve lung infection and require respiratory support, according to the State Disaster Management Committee.
The committee in a statement said the other 662 cases were either asymptomatic or showed mild symptoms.
The additional cases today take the case tally in Sarawak to 239,218.
“Among the areas that recorded the highest cases were Kuching with 170 followed by Miri (154), Sibu (83) and Bintulu (41),” the committee said.
Thirty-four Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in Sarawak from Oct 7 to date while the number of active clusters stands at 34.
