PETALING JAYA: Police raided an entertainment in Kuala Lumpur at midnight yesterday, issuing compound fines totalling RM235,000 to 44 patrons for violating SOPs under the national recovery plan.
In a statement, Kuala Lumpur crime prevention and community safety department chief Azman Ayob said the 44 comprised 27 men and 16 women.
He said police also issued a RM25,000 compound fine notice to the owner of the premises under Regulation 17 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations.
During the raid, police seized 431 bottles of liquor worth RM220,550.
“This operation will be enhanced from time to time to stop the spread of Covid-19 in our country,” Azman added. - FMT
