Police have seized an official state government car from former executive council member Norhizam Hassan Baktee.
Norhizam (above) - who previously gave himself the nickname "Hulk" - was one of three former state exco members who quit the Malacca government in an unsuccessful coup attempt.
During a press conference today, Malacca police chief Abdul Majid Mohd Ali said they had received a police report that a "former exco member" has not returned the official car.
An investigation paper was subsequently opened under Section 403 of the Penal Code for misappropriating property, and police then interviewed five witnesses.
Police later secured a court warrant to seize the car from the parking lot of a condominium in Malacca.
While police did not name the former exco member, Norhizam is the only one who has not returned the Toyota Camry the state government issued to exco members.
The other two rebel exco members, Idris Haron and Noor Effandi Ahmad, had reportedly returned their official cars several days ago.
Norhizam had said yesterday that he would return the car today.
He had expressed displeasure that he was made to surrender his official vehicle, when other exco members were still allowed to use theirs despite the state legislature being dissolved on Oct 4.
