A famous Islamic preacher was called to Bukit Aman again yesterday to facilitate an investigation into sexual harassment allegations.
"Police confirm that we have summoned the preacher and his wife to the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman on Sept 30, to facilitate our investigation," police Criminal Investigation Department director Abd Jalil Hassan (above) said in a statement today.
"The people are advised to not issue any statement or circulate any kind of material (related to the case) on any platform to avoid speculation and provocation that may jeopardise police investigation," he added.
The preacher, who is well known for his charity works, has come under police scrutiny recently, after his name was implicated in allegations of sexual harassment against several women.
It is learned that he had been summoned to Bukit Aman last month to give his statement to police, who also conducted checks on his house.
