PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) says it received a complaint lodged by Laskar Siber Malaysia president Lokman Noor Adam regarding a land reclamation project off the coast of Melaka.
“MACC had previously opened an investigation paper into the issue and the complaint made at our headquarters today will be attached in the investigation paper,” the anti-graft agency said in a statement today.
“MACC will conduct a thorough investigation into this case covering all aspects raised in the complaint.”
In the wake of the political crisis in Melaka, it was claimed that four assemblymen pulled their support for the state government as its leaders were allegedly monopolising economic projects and cheating the government of sand royalties in the state.
MACC last week met with one of the assemblymen to obtain information over the allegations. - FMT
