The father of Cameron Highlands MP Ramli Mohd Nor and Department of Orang Asli Development (Jakoa) director-general Sapiah Mohd Nor passed away aged 87 early Sunday morning.
Born on Sept 10, 1934, the late Mohd Nor Abdullah breathed his last at Baling Hospital, Kedah, about 2.30am due to kidney complications, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.
The deceased’s body was safely buried at Tok Gobek Cemetery, Pengkalan Hulu about 2pm yesterday.
The late Nor was among the first 10 members to serve in the Senoi Praaq General Operations Force, which was formed and introduced by the British Special Air Service (SAS) in 1956.
The Senoi Praaq force, which comprises largely Orang Asli personnel, played a key role in diminishing the threat by communist forces during the Malayan Emergency. - Mkini
