Shahidan overwhelmed after giving out phone number in Parliament

 

Federal Territories Minister Shahidan Kassim was overwhelmed by calls after sharing his phone number in Parliament.

Shahidan, who had given out his phone number for people to report on potholes, urged the public seeking to contact him to send him a text message instead.

"I received hundreds of calls about potholes that I couldn't take them one by one.

"I ask that they send an SMS so that I can take immediate action," he was quoted as saying by Utusan Malaysia.

Yesterday, Shahidan gave out his phone number in Parliament and promised to act on any road damage in Kuala Lumpur within 24 hours.

"We are prepared. The people of Malaysia can contact us. Those who reach Kuala Lumpur and see potholes can contact us and we will take action in 24 hours," he had said.

He also shared the phone numbers of his deputy Jalaluddin Alias, and Kuala Lumpur Mayor Mahadi Che Ngah.
