Candidates on morning stroll at Batang Kali market
8.20am: Batang Kali, Selangor - Pakatan Harapan candidate Pung Sock Tao visits the Batang Kali morning market with Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan and Bentong MP Young Syefura Othman who are there to introduce Pang to Malay voters.
Batang Kali has a majority Malay electorate.
Perikatan Nasional candidate Khairul Azhari Saut is also on the campaign trail in the same market.
At the moment, the two candidates have not met.
‘Duit raya’ cancelled for govt’s KKB open house
8am: The gifting of ”duit raya” at the state government’s Hari Raya open house event in Kuala Kubu Baharu was cancelled to avoid prejudice, said Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari.
"We have received advice and feedback, and we don't want people to say bad things, so the decision (to cancel giving the money) was taken.
"As I said earlier, we listen to feedback from all parties," Amirudin told reporters after attending the open house last night.
He was responding to an allegation by electoral watchdog Bersih that the state government had committed election offences by holding the open house and listing “duit raya” as part of the agenda. - Mkini
