NENGGIRI : BERSATU GETS ROYALLY SCREWED BY PAS. SCREWED, SCREWED, SCREWED.

 OSTB : The biggest loser in Nenggiri was Parti Bersatu. They got royally screwed by their "partner" Pas. Hello kekawan Bersatu, this will become a trend. You are going to get screwed, screwed, screwed.

There are stories going around that the Muslim Brotherhood has brokered a deal between Pas and madani. Pas and madani have agreed to help each other. Nenggiri looks like the earliest outcome of this 'deal'.

 

• PN suffered internal dissent over choice of candidate
• PAS not keen on two Bersatu candidates
• PAS said Bersatu had bad reputation 
• Bersatu members  stood better chance
• Pas pushed for former PAS member. It wasn’t a good idea. 
• “wrong candidate” leading to defeat at Nenggiri
• Pas candidate “popular only with congregations at the mosques”.

So Pas managed to put their own candidate, an unpopular fellow who had little chance of winning.  Murray Hunter wrote :

• Nenggiri by-election exposed what some suspected. 
• deep cracks within PN coalition. 
• PAS leadership discontent over Bersatu. 
• Is this the beginning of the end for PN? 
• PAS more assertive and act now more in self-interest.
• Pas nominated former PAS Gua Musang Youth head
• parachuted from PAS just two days before nomination 
• sidelined the Bersatu candidate.
• angered a number of Bersatu members

If Bersatu sticks with Pas, Bersatu will disappear at the next general elections. More on Bersatu later.
