Khalid not one to talk about Kg Sg Baru redevelopment, says residents group

 

Former federal territories minister Khalid Abdul Samad is not one to talk on the Kampung Sungai Baru redevelopment issues, nor the compensation in regards to it, claims the area’s residents group.

The group’s adviser, Muzaffar Razman, claimed that Khalid (above) had not done his research when he made statements on the issues.

“(For example) in regards to the RM1,000 per square foot payment. He was not the first one who had championed such ‘high price’ as he claimed, as (former prime minister) Dr Mahathir Mohamad had done so in 1991.

“He did not do his research when he commented on this matter. He does not know what he’s talking about. That is his problem,” he said at a press conference today.
