There will be one 14-cornered contest, the highest in this election, which will take place in Tulid.

EC chairman Ramlan Harun said 74 candidates are contesting independently, while Warisan is the only party vying for all 73 seats up for grabs.
Parti Impian Sabah has fielded 72 candidates, followed by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (55), Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (46), Barisan Nasional (45), Perikatan Nasional (42), Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (40), Upko (25), Pakatan Harapan (22) and Parti Kebangsaan Sabah (20), he said in a statement.
Other parties fielded fewer than 20 candidates, namely Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri (17), Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah (16), Parti Bumi Kenyalang (14), Parti Rumpun Sabah (seven), Sabah Progressive Party (six), Parti Damai Sabah and Perjuangan Rakyat (five each).
This was followed by Pertubuhan Gemilang Anak Sabah, Parti Bangsa Malaysia and Parti Aspirasi Rakyat Sarawak with three candidates each, and Pejuang, Parti Bersatu Sasa Malaysia, and Pertubuhan Perpaduan Rakyat Kebangsaan Sabah with one each.
The full list of candidates comprises 525 men and just 71 women.

There will also be 13 six-cornered clashes, 10 nine- and seven-cornered fights, nine 10-cornered, eight eight- and five-cornered, and six 11-cornered contests.
There will only be four 13-cornered contests, as well as two 12- and four-cornered clashes.
The oldest candidate is Thomas Anggan, 86, of Parti Kebangsaan Sabah, who is contesting in Bingkor. while the youngest is Syafiq Iqhmal Saharudin, 24, who is from the same party but vying for the Silam seat.
A total of 1,784,843 Sabahans are eligible to cast their ballots. Early voting will be held on Nov 25 while polling day is on Nov 29. - FMT
