Tea or trouble? Strange ceiling leak floods Chagee outlet

 

IN THE past, flooding has occurred frequently in the parking areas of shopping malls. This is no surprise considering the position of these basement car parks underground.

Gravity is not your friend when water is involved. But strangely, the reverse appears to be true in a recent video post where a flooded Chagee shop could be seen, at the shopper’s level.

More interesting was the fact that the incident was completely isolated, affecting the Chagee shop only.

In the video, coffee brown water could be seen pouring down the ceiling, inundating the customer’s section. The dirty water quickly spread out, reaching the walkways and moving over to the other shops.

We can only wonder if this is the product of a faulty roof or if an overimaginative Chagee staff was trying to brew a new tea recipe.

If it was the latter, we can all agree that the taste of this new tea should be disasterific, no pun intended.

The video has since received over 568 shares and 110 comments. Netizens by the numbers tried their level best to explain the occurrence of this bizarre and isolated flooding.

Some said it was AI generated while others pointed towards a faulty fire extinguisher system.

Then there was @DeanYang116 saying that it was Xi Jinping’s coffee. Will he get social credit points deduction for that comment? We will never know.

On another note, it appears the incident might not be in Malaysia after all. Some netizens pointed towards Hong Kong, based on the Chinese letters at the shopfront.

Also, the story was not being picked up by the local media. We can only wonder what terrific or more appropriately, terrifying tea recipe that is being brewed by Hong Kong Chagee to create such a mess. —  Focus Malaysia
