Padang Rengas MP Azahari Hasan and Gerik MP Fathul Huzir Ayob were also sacked alongside opposition leader Hamzah Zainudin.

Gerik MP Fathul Huzir Ayob confirmed that he had been sacked, while a letter sighted by FMT stated that Wan Fayhsal and Padang Rengas MP Azahari Hasan also had their Bersatu memberships terminated.
Wan Fayhsal was suspended from Bersatu in October over an apparent move to unseat Muhyiddin Yassin as party president.
Letters from Bersatu disciplinary board chairman Radzi Manan said the trio had breached Clause 9.1.4 of the party’s constitution, the same provision cited for Hamzah’s sacking.
The clause outlines that Bersatu members are to comply with the party’s constitution, code of ethics, and code of conduct.
Fathul, Azahari and Wan Fayhsal were among 16 Bersatu MPs who backed party vice-president Ronald Kiandee’s call for Muhyiddin to step down as party president to make way for Hamzah.
Also sacked today was Sabah Bersatu secretary Yunus Nurdin, who had also called for Muhyiddin to resign previously.
Bersatu has been fraught with infighting for months amid a leadership tussle between Muhyiddin and Hamzah, the party’s now-former deputy president.
Tasek Gelugor MP Wan Saiful Wan Jan and Indera Mahkota MP Saifuddin Abdullah had already been sacked from the party in October and January, respectively. - FMT
