The party’s deputy secretary-general, Aidi Amin Yazid, says it will act to prevent misuse of its name and logo.

PKR deputy secretary-general Aidi Amin Yazid said the party takes every membership application seriously and expects applicants to share its values.
He said the party had taken note of the activist’s admission that his membership bid was merely a joke.
“He brought disrepute to our party by misusing the logo on his social media posts.
“PKR is mulling legal action against him to prevent future trolls from causing disharmony under the pretence of applying for membership,” he said, adding that the man’s membership had not been confirmed.
“A joke loses its charm once you have to explain it. Yeah, I’ll submit a PAS membership form next. Okay or not, pembaris?” he wrote on Facebook yesterday, using a Malay slang for someone with no sense of humour.
Last Thursday, Tamim uploaded two posts on Facebook: one expressing his intention to join PKR and requesting a membership registration form, and another showing his completed online application, pending approval.
PKR secretary-general Fuziah Salleh said yesterday the application must undergo several processes before it can be approved. - FMT
