The AKPS director-general pleads not guilty to two charges of voluntarily causing hurt to two police officers at KLIA Terminal 1 on Sept 28.

Shuhaily is charged with two counts under Section 323 of the Penal Code of voluntarily causing hurt to Faiz Saman and Ekmal Sofwan at KLIA Terminal 1 on Sept 28.
If convicted, he faces up to a year in prison, a fine of up to RM2,000 or both, for each charge.
Magistrate Khairatul Animah Jelani granted Shuhaily total bail of RM3,000 with two sureties.
The court fixed Nov 25 for case management.
Deputy public prosecutors Shahrizat Ismail and Sazali Omar appeared for the prosecution, while a team of eight lawyers led by Kitson Foong represented Shuhaily.
Before entering the courtroom, Shuhaily thanked those who came to support him as well as those who supported him from afar.
“I will let due process take its course. And this will be my last press conference on this case,” he told reporters.
The case follows the circulation of CCTV footage allegedly showing Shuhaily confronting a person at KLIA Terminal 1.
AKPS confirmed the footage was genuine and said the incident occurred while Shuhaily was inspecting preparations at KLIA ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.
Shuhaily claimed that certain quarters were attempting to tarnish his reputation and that of AKPS, but said he would cooperate with the investigation and accept whatever decision the authorities make. - FMT
