PETALING JAYA – Social media was abuzz after an Umno lawmaker shocked his followers on Wednesday (Jan 2) by “liking” a pornography post with explicit content on his Twitter.
Former Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein’s erotic faux pas appeared in the afternoon featuring an uncensored video of a scantily dressed Caucasian woman in front of a kitchen sink.
The title of the post read, ******* the stepmother with force.
Soon after the like status update was up, several followers have been tweeting Hishammuddin with screen shots of the explicit content, demanding explanations.
”Please explain (to) us,” said user @nurrrzuqmi.
Another user @mvtthvmzvh said at that ”somebody from your social media team will get hurt real bad”.
When contacted Thursday (Jan 3), the Sembrong MP said that his Twitter account was apparently compromised.
”Hacked. My boys are on it,” he said briefly in a WhatsApp message reply, complete with three laughing-out-loud emoticons.
”At least I am still relevant,” added Hishammuddin, who is on a family vacation overseas.
It is learnt that the former defence minister has a team of staff managing his social media platforms.
The explicit content has since been removed from Hishammuddin’s Twitter feeds and a check on the original handler that posted the vulgar post found that the account no longer exists.

No one should doubt Hishammuddin’s loyalty, says Nadzari
SHAH ALAM: There is no need to doubt Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein’s loyalty to Umno.
Selangor Umno liaison committee deputy chairman Datuk Mat Nadzari Ahmad Dahlan said he was confident that Hishammuddin would remain with the party through thick and thin.
“Hishammuddin’s loyalty need not be questioned,” Nadzari told the New Straits Times today.
“He has always been loyal. Hasn’t he affirmed this many times before?
“Is Hishammuddin being doubted now just because of his recent photo with Azmin (economic affairs minister and PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and their families while on holiday) in Morocco and we are getting so panicky over it?
“I know Hishammuddin and I trust him.”
Nadzari was commenting on Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Armand Azha Abu Hanifah’s call for Hishammuddin to declare his loyalty to the party to squash rumours that he had planned the recent exodus of members of parliament.
Armand had also said that he believed Hishammuddin was loyal to Umno.
Selangor Umno liaison committee deputy chairman Datuk Mat Nadzari Ahmad Dahlan says it is unnecessary for Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein to declare his loyalty to Umno.
Nadzari said he did not think Armand was questioning the former Umno vice-president’s integrity.
“He wants Hishammuddin to clear the air,” said Nadzari. “But, to me, it is not necessary.
“We don’t need to jump the gun over this issue. It is better to focus on ourselves and strengthen our respective divisions.”
Meanwhile, Umno veteran Tan Sri Zainal Dahalan said Hishammuddin could not be forced to make such a declaration.
“It is up to Hishammuddin if he wants to do so,” he said.
“Let him do it on his own will.”
Zainal said it was difficult to read politicians as some did not “walk the talk”.
“Sometimes they will say something, but act otherwise and then you see pictures of them on holiday together,” he said.
“The same thing happened when a picture of a meeting involving Nurul Izzah (Anwar), Khairy Jamaluddin and Rafizi Ramli was circulated recently. It is hard to interpret their actions.”
