Strong north-east winds at speeds of 50km to 60km an hour and turbulent seas with waves reaching up to 4.5 metres are expected to hit the waters of Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang until Saturday.
According to a statement from the Malaysian Meteorological Department last night, the strong winds and turbulent seas would be dangerous to all shipping and coastal activities, including fishing and ferry services.
Meanwhile, strong north-east winds with speeds of 40km to 50km an hour and waves of up to 3.5 metres were expected in the waters of East Johor, Sarawak and West Sabah in the same period.
This condition would be dangerous to small boats and sea recreations and sports, said the statement.
