Muhyiddin admits civil servants not fully warmed up to gov't yet

Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin today admitted that the civil service has not yet fully warmed up to the Pakatan Harapan government.
He said after 61 years of BN rule, civil servants have become accustomed to a certain way of doing things.
However, he said it takes time for things to come together.
"This one and a half years, is still too early to warm up, understand (Harapan policies), gel with the system, and others," Muhyiddin said at a press conference in Pontian today.

He was responding to a report by The Malaysian Insight which cited government sources as saying that there is still resistance among the civil service towards Harapan.
This is as some are not convinced that the Harapan government would last beyond a single term.
Muhyiddin said civil servants must follow the government of the day.,
He said refusing to cooperate, would mean that civil servants would not be fulfilling their duties to the people
Previously, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng suggested a connection between the deep state and the arrests of DAP leaders over alleged links to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).
However, Muhyiddin denied this was true, and said he had explained to DAP not to misunderstand the situation. - Mkini
