KUALA LUMPUR: A Barisan Nasional MP uttered the obscene word “P*****k” while debating on a Facebook posting criticising the Selangor Sultan at the Dewan Rakyat.
This took place during a heated argument between Noh Omar (BN-Tanjong Karang) and RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong).
It started when Noh raised the issue of a Sept 29 Facebook posting by “Nga Kor Ming Superfans” which urged Chinese Malaysians upset with the removal of bilingual road signs in Selangor to protest in front of state ruler, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
He said a police report had been lodged against the page by the escort of the ruler.
Rayer then said Noh should follow the house rules by not mentioning names as the police were also investigating the Pekan MP, referring to former prime minister Najib Razak.
“Why did you mention the name of Nga Kor Ming? Don’t accuse like that,” he said, prompting Noh to shout “stupid”.
The mike was then muted by deputy speaker Rashid Hasnon.
Ramkarpal Singh (PH-Bukit Gelugor) then asked Noh if he was aware that the page was not linked to deputy speaker Nga.
To this, Noh stated: “Correct lah. I didn’t say Nga Kor Ming.”
Rayer then shouted back: “You are stupid.”
As the arguments worsened, Noh shouted back, using the foul word: “P*****k. Speaker, if you want peace, chase Jelutong out of the house.”
Ramkarpal further asked Noh on the police probe into Najib about this Facebook posting, to which Noh replied: “If the police want to probe Pekan, they can probe. I’m raising this issue because it’s been two months.”
On Oct 18, Najib was summoned to Bukit Aman for sharing a screenshot of the post in question.
Najib had also claimed the page was linked to Nga.
Nga, who is Perak DAP chairman, denied that either he or DAP were involved in the post.
