‘THIS COUNTRY NEEDS 94-YEAR-OLD MAHATHIR TO LEAD IT LIKE IT NEEDS A HOLE IN THE HEAD’: MAHATHIR LOSES HIS ‘MAGIC’ – MALAYSIANS GROW IMPATIENT FOR HIM TO STEP DOWN

Ok guys…I am going to try and talk about something unpleasant, a bit rude…some of you may even say a bit kurang ajar maybe…but certainly about something that needs to be talked about.

TUN DR MAHATHIR

Today, almost 18 months after becoming PM, Mahathir has yet to decide who will be PM when he leaves office. Let me put that in another way so that there is no room for error: Tun tells us that he is not going anywhere because the country needs him as PM.

Really Tun?

This nation needs a 94-year-old prime minister to lead it like I need a hole in my head! Who told you that you were indispensable to PH? Who told you that only you can lead PH into the next PRU for PH to hold on to government? And who, Tun, told you that you and only you were the ones who can hold the PH coalition together?

Are you indispensable to PH? No Tun you are not! If not DSAI, then there will be others who will take your place but first, there must be a vacuum to be filled.

Only you can lead PH to victory in the next PRU? No Tun, we the rakyat, gave victory to PH. We want someone else to lead PH and when that someone comes along, we will decide if he/she will be the one to be given the mandate to govern by us at the next PRU.

Only you can hold PH together? No Tun the various entities within PH are already united in their opposition to you. They are giving face to you to retire gracefully.

What else, do you think, can be used by you to excuse your continued stay as PM?

That you need more time to implement the promises you made to the electorate in the run-up to and during the last PRU? Umno had six decades to make Ketuanan Melayu a fact. You had 22 years to fulfill vision 20/20 and more. And PH has had 18 months after the election to make good on the promises you guys made to us when we elected you guys to government. Guess what? We know what you have done and we know what you have not done since the last PRU – and Tun even if we give you the six decades we gave Umno….you guys will end up richer while the rakyat will end up poorer. Tun, we do not want to get any poorer than we are now. So we want you out.
