Afghanistan President: Pakistan Still Shelters Insurgents

“Afghanistan's President Ashraf Ghani said Thurs Pakistan continued to give sanctuary to insurgent group that helps Taliban in war against Kabul, directly contradicting earlier statement by Pakistan's prime minister. 

On Wednesday, Imran Khan told reporters at WEF in Davos, Switzerland, that the Haqqani network, a terrorist group, had no activities or bases in Pakistan. 

“And you believed him?” Ghani, also at Davos, asked on Thursday. 

“One can also say that the earth does not revolve around the sun.” 

“This is a denial that is not helpful.” 

Ghani also said that talks with the Taliban showed few signs of progress. 

“The outcome the public seeks is an end to violence,” he said. 

“We want to see that the Taliban accepts a political process"

My comments :

As usual a muslim leader lying in public (to the Mat Sallehs in Davos).

And another muslim leader calling the first one a liar - also in public in Davos.

And you expect the world to respect you?

Here the Afghan president Ashraf Ghani is correct. 

Pakistan still supports the Taliban and the terrorist Haqqani network. 

Pakistan also has problems with its other neighbour Iran.

Frequently there is shooting going on across the Iran-Pakistan frontier.

Pakistan is a country that has problems with all its neighbours. 

There are three things to note. 

1. Despite cricket, Jemima Goldschmidt and all that,  Imran Khan is turning out to be just another shalwar kameez village idiot. Nothing good is happening in Pakistan. Lets see how long Imran Khan will last. Pakistani PM's usually go out with a bang.

2. Pakistan is run by the Army. 

It has always been run by the Army.

Imran Khan was put in power by the Army.

He exists at the pleasure of the Army.

3. Pakistan needs the Taliban to create an 'Islamic' identity.

This is also why Army General Zia ul Haqq created a sharia republic.

Because without an Islamic identity, Pakistan would disintegrate into four separate racial identities : Punjabi, Baloch, Sindhi and Pashtun.

And who is the leader in Pakistan?

Sometimes it is the Prime Minister.

Sometimes it is the president.

The previous three leaders (Musharraf, Zardari, Nawaz Shariff) were jailed, went into exile, were sentenced to death, bla bla.

The one before that Benazir Bhutto was shot and killed. 

Village idiots. 

And Dr Mahathir wants to be friends with these folks.
