PETALING JAYA: Passengers waiting to collect their luggage at KLIA got a sweet surprise when they found beautifully wrapped presents on the baggage carousel.
Many were mystified at first, but the puzzlement turned to smiles when they saw their names on the gifts.
The occasion was made even more memorable by carollers singing classic Christmas songs.
The lucky passengers landed in KL four days before Christmas. They came in on flights MH2613 from Kota Kinabalu and MH1 from London.

The gifts were a feature of the “Let’s Go Christmas” campaign mounted by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) and its partners, Malaysia Airlines, Lego Malaysia, Valiram, Dimensi Ekslusif and Colours & Fragrances.
Among the gifts were Lego sets, Michael Kors handbags and sets from Biotherm, Estee Lauder and Nars.
Father Christmas and some santarinas also made an appearance and handed out tote bags, cookies, candy canes and toys.
Speaking to FMT, MAHB CEO Raja Azmi Nazuddin said the company wanted to add “a little extra something” to welcome passengers coming home for Christmas.
He said he was glad that the passengers had a wonderful experience at the airport and promised that MAHB would continue to improve the airport experience for travellers.

“Malaysia is going to welcome many visitors for Visit Malaysia 2020 and we are ready to give each and every one of them a fantastic first impression at the airport,” he added.
MAHB recently said it was spending more than RM8 million to place well-trained personnel to ensure visitors at airports get “five-star hospitality”.
It has trained its employees as well as personnel from immigration, customs, police and the airlines to provide Malaysian hospitality on top of performing their core job functions. - FMT
