Normal to launch a project years after completion, Najib did the same, says Zuraida

Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin has lashed back at former premier Najib Abdul Razak for criticising her on the launch of Kimanis fire and rescue station which was completed in 2018.
"It is normal..like (Yang di-Pertuan) Agong officiating a mosque.. he did that after 10 years (of completion).
"Najib acted like he didn't know...it's not like he's oblivious because he had done the same thing," Zuraida told the media in Putrajaya.
Zuraida launched the fire station on Saturday amid the the Kimanis by-election campaign.

On the same day, Najib, in his Facebook posting, questioning why did Zuraida launch the fire station in 2020 when it was completed in July 2018.
"Hello Zuraida. The Kimanis fire station completed in July 2018. Why did you launch it in 2020?" he asked.
Najib said the RM7.73 million project was approved by the previous BN government and criticised PH ministers for launching projects during the by-election.
On a different matter, Zuraida, who is also PKR vice president, noted that she had received a letter of demand from the party president Anwar Ibrahim's political secretary Farharsh Wafa Salvador, and that she had passed the letter to her lawyer.
"I just received last week on Thursday, although he claimed to have sent it on the 23rd (last month).
"I have given it to my lawyer to handle it."
In his letter of demand issued through lawyer Nik Zarith Nik Moustpha, claimed that Zuraida’s speech, among others, had implied Farhash was responsible for the brawl that took place at the PKR Congress in Malacca that weekend.
Meanwhile, Zuraida also explained that the Shared Vision Prosperity tour, announced last month, has been postponed from this month to February.
Zuraida announced the tour during the PKR's dinner in December which gathered party leaders and members aligned to PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali's faction.
"We had a meeting yesterday. Since the Chinese New Year is coming, so it looks like we have to delay.
"We will do it in the first week of February in Selangor. Two weeks after that, we will go to Sarawak because we want to prepare for the Sarawak state election."
Asked if the tour was intended to criticise PKR president, Zuraida reiterated that they would instead focus on sharing the information about the government's initiative.
"We will be concentrating on the government initiative because we want to move forward in building the government, not getting involved in all this issue anymore." - Mkini
